Downsizing in Medical Sales

Medical and pharmaceutical sales reps are involved in an industry that is leading in restructuring and realigning. Which means it's common to find a medical sales rep who has been through a downsizing or had a downsizing scare. Thankfully if you're a victim of these realignments, the stereotype that you weren't adding enough value to the company has gone by the wayside. Some of the best salespeople end up being downsized due to factors they simply have no control over. Some of these situations occur due to company mergers, failure to get FDA approvals and even sometimes just poor planning on the company's part.
